Open Positions:
Tax Manager / CPA / Enrolled Agent
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. The ideal
candidate will have 7+ years of public accounting experience, strong tax preparation
and review skills, and experience with Lacerte Tax Software.
This is an in-office position. Candidates must live locally or within a reasonable
commuting distance of our Kitty Hawk office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Prepare and review tax workpapers and supporting schedules.
- Review staff-prepared returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Research tax issues and assist with tax planning.
- Communicate directly with clients and taxing authorities.
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Stay current with federal and state tax laws.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
- CPA or Enrolled Agent
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Lacerte experience preferred.
- Strong experience with individual, estate/trust, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation returns
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Leadership experience
- Ability to work additional hours during tax deadlines
- Must be able to work in our Kitty Hawk office
